Kish Fish is a family run business that was founded by Tadgh O’Meara Snr along with Danny Hughes in 1966 when they first began selling whole fish in the Dublin Fish-market. Today Kish Fish is run by the O’Meara family and their team who have developed 2 popular seafood and fish shops, in addition to a 3rd outlet at Avoca in Dunboyne. At each of our premises you’ll find the freshest seafood and fish daily, served by our friendly team of professional fishmongers.

We take pride in a strong wholesale seafood business that provides many of Dublin’s finest eateries and businesses daily from our state-of-the-art premises in Coolock.

So where did Kish Fish get its name?
The Kish Bank is a shallow sand bank about seven miles off the coast of Dublin. It is marked by the Kish Lighthouse, a landmark well known to sailors and ferry passengers passing through Dublin Bay and Dún Laoghaire harbour. At the time Kish Fish was established the Kish Lighthouse was built, and the Kish light still shines, two white flashes every 20 seconds, day and night. This light is reflected in our logo.
